The Anesthesia and Surgical Services departments want to assure that your child has the best experience possible on the day of the procedure.  The Anesthesia Pre-Admit Screening Service (APASS) has been effective in helping to avoid or predict potential medical, anesthesia, or surgical complications.  The coordinated comprehensive consultation system provided by the APASS department will help to decrease the potential for unexpected delays and/or cancellations on the day of your child's procedure.  The APASS department attempts to alleviate many of the fears and anxieties of patients and their families through education regarding the surgical and anesthesia processes.  APASS evaluations are available to all surgical patients and their families at no additional charge.
